***43 Iowa State Cup Champions***
CRSA has been among top clubs in Iowa for years due to our approach to developing young players. At young ages we don't place importance/pressure on winning, but rather focus on developing skills, confidence, and love for the game in our players.
Only those who truly enjoy the game for the sake of playing will stay in the game, and only those who keep playing will develop necessary abilities for the next stage.
We discourage players/parents/coaches from the egotistical approach where winning is so important to justify using tactics that will not benefit players in the future. When winning at young ages becomes the main concern, coaches skip important learning steps, teach wrong values, and jeopardize the future success of players.
We are committed to the long term approach that may not pay dividends right away, but has well proven succes down the road. We are the club that created numerous State Champions as well as the ODP, high-school and college standouts, and even MLS recruits using this approach.
Training for the Premier teams will be held primarily at the CRSA Soccer Compex during Fall and Spring. The complex has 3 full sized, lighted soccer fields. There is ample hard surface parking and restrooms at the facility. During winter times the club will utilize between CRSA Indoor Facility and other locations.
Tryouts and Training:
Tryout are usually held in June. Please note that only Premier Teams (11U and up) require tryouts. Mudpuppy/Husky and Academy programs require only online registration.
